Els for Autism #GameON Programming

#GameON Programming is an innovative program that has been developed in collaboration with PGA REACH and First Tee and is especially tailored for individuals on the autism spectrum. Infused with evidence-based practices for teaching golf to individuals with ASD, #GameON is designed to build self-esteem and confidence in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment; encouraging participants to learn golf skills while practicing specific autism learning concepts, including: communication, regulatory, motor and social skills.

In 2020, First Tee – Upstate South Carolina started the program by investing in a national trainer from The Els Center for Excellence to train over 20 coaches on the #GameON curriculum. Coach Laura Maurer then to the reins of the program and development a program that continues to impact the lives of kids and teens and their families each year.

In the first four years we have impacted the lives of over 100 kids, teens and families through this program. We look forward to meeting your family at our next clinic or class.

To further the mission of Els for Autism and First Tee – Upstate South Carolina, #GameON Programming adaptive classes and clinics are offered seasonally.
