We plan to keep it a stableford format, meaning that each player plays their own ball and are designated a point value for their score on that hole.

Bogey = 1 point
Par = 2 points
Birdie = 4 points
Hole-in-one = 8 points

Remember, this event is not only about the golf but also a fundraiser! Meaning a point value is given to each player based on how much money they raise and that is added to the final score. We are reevaluating the breakdown of points awarded based on how much is raised. Every person has the chance to earn points for their team, and now teams score points by how much they raise as a whole.

Individual Points Earned:

If a Donor does not meet the $700 goal or a participant does not meet their $100 goal, no points will be awarded
Donor raises at least $700 / Participant raises $100 = 1 point
At least $1400 / Participant $200 = 2 points
At least $2,100 / Participant $300 = 3 points
At least $2,800 / Participant $400 = 4 points and so on…
Highest Participant Donor = 4 points
Highest Overall Donor = 2 points

Team Points Earned:

If a Team meets the goal of $2,200 they will be granted 5 points, if they fail to reach that goal they will not be given any points
1st Place Fundraisers = 10 points
2nd Place Fundraisers = 8 points
3rd Place Fundraisers = 4 points
4th Place Fundraisers = 2 points
5th Place Fundraisers = 1 point

The Core Values Cup is a unique event for our donors and participants of First Tee — Upstate South Carolina. This gives our participants the opportunity to use the interpersonal skills that they learn during their classes. It also gives our donors an opportunity to see the mission of First Tee in action firsthand!

We were able to raise a record amount of $42,313 (as of September 5th), which crushed our goal of $35,000 for the mission of the First Tee – Upstate South Carolina in 2025.
