The 9th Annual Core Values Cup Winners

On a beautiful night weather wise at 3’s Greenville, The Pin Seekers, pictured above, took home the trophy in 2023! Johnny started out hot on his 3rd hole, chipping in for birdie. The rest was then history as they went on to hold off a few challengers who made it interesting towards the end!

The competition’s format is a stableford format, meaning that each player plays their own ball and designated a point value for their score on that hole:

  • Bogey = 1 point
  • Par = 2 points
  • Birdie = 4 points
  • Hole-in-one = 8 points

Remember, this event is not only about the golf but also a fundraiser! Meaning a point value is given to each player based on how much money they raise and that is added to the final score:

  • Donor raises at least $400 = 1 point / Participant raises $80 = 1 point
  • At least $500 = 2 points / Participant $100 = 2 points
  • At least $1,000 = 4 points / Participant $150 = 4 points
  • At least $2,000 = 8 points / Participant $200 = 8 points

The Core Values Cup is a unique event for our donors and participants of First Tee — Upstate South Carolina. This gives our participants the opportunity to use the interpersonal skills that they learn during their classes. It also gives our donors an opportunity to see the mission of First Tee in action firsthand!

Our total goal is to raise over $35,500 for the mission of the First Tee – Upstate South Carolina in 2022.
